The works in this exhibition span a variety of photographic approaches, seen in both the use of a variety of cameras and post production processes.
Cold Season is an exhibition that explores the themes and experiences of the winter months. Works in this show reflect how this time of year visually transforms the landscape, impacts our daily routines, and brings halts to cities. The exhibited images analyze the constant contention within the powerfully brutal, magical season of winter. While many choose to wish these months away, the artists of Cold Season remain present- be it in their misery, or their wonder, and continue to create within it. The 28 photographers featured delve into how we experience this annual transformation on a traditional, poetic, and personal level.
